NASCAR Rolls into PIR this weekend with all 3 top series racing! PIR is a 1 mile track that most everone conceiters a short track!

This weekends races will be the last under the current configuration. PIR is gonna have a major overhaul with the dog leg between turns 2 and 3 taking out and added banking. Alot of fans are not liking the new change. It sucks! It was fine the way it is now! If its not broke dont fix it!

Today we’ll see alot of action on Speedtv with practices from all 3 serices starting with the trucks at 11am est. The day will end with the Truck race tonite at 730 est. Saturday is the Nationwide race and Sunday the Cup race.

Not only are the 3 top series at PIR but last nite the NASCAR K&N West series had their first race of the season. The NASCAR K&N Series is formally know as the NASCAR West series. A few Cup drivers including Kevin Harvick raced in this series and Kevin even has a Championship in this series! These guys race short tracks out West. They have the cars that Nationwide used to have.

Greg Pursley won the race! This is his 2nd win in a row at PIR. He won the last race of 2010 season at PIR.Ā  Travis Pastrana raced his first NASCAR points raced and finished 25 after a late spin. Up untill that point Travis had a good race going! In the middle of the race Travis told his crew “I have a damn good car i just need to learn how to drive it” Kevin Harvick helps out with a driver named David Mayhew in the 17 car. David is also from Kevin’s home town Bakersfeild, CA. David ended up finishing 9th after leading most of the race and ended up having to pit alittle to late.

The NASCAR K&N Pro Series West will back on track on Saturday, April 16 for the Toyota/NAPA Autocare 150 at All American Speedway in Roseville, Calif.

You can lean more about the K&N series as well as the others! Just go to Nascar.com then Hometracks
